I have a Tour Star Perfect Pitch rod. While it is on the heavy side, it is very strong and great for using it in thick and heavy cover. To be honest, I like the rod, but many others will argue that it could be a bit more sensitive.

If it were me I would buy a heavy Duckett micro magic and you'll fall in love! And they don't entirely break the bank

Id wait for a 20% off sale somewhere and get a Dobyns Champ 765 Flip. They are miles above a GL2 in sensitivity, build quality, and balance. But, I do love me some Dobyns so I may be biased.

You may want to consider checking out the high end Okumas.

I'd go with the GL2. I love mine! I paired it with an Abu Garcia REVO MGX and it's a great flipping combo.
