Thinking of coming to the Lady Bird Tounry in March and was wondering where you guys stay. I am worried about getting a close enough place to stay and what to do with my kayak over night. Do any of you guys room together?

Lady Bird isnt camp friendly so it seems most out of towners drive in the morning of the tournament. Since the lake is downtown, a hotel in the area would be pricey. If nothing else you could camp on Lake Austin, Emma Long Park and drive over to Lady Bird in the morning. However, Emma Long is first come first serve. So if its full when you get there you are out of luck and March is big bass season on Lake Austin. You could also see if a local would have you over.

I dunno about Austin but I know when I spring for a room down at the coast I go with a motel and just bring my kayak in the room at night.
