Had a slow first day Thursday with Matt strong scouting after the shad kill then warm temps!! After that it was fish on!! Everybody caught new pb's and most caught multiple pb's!! Lost a few big fish and landed a couple we were super lucky getting in the boat!!! The first one, a young man lost to a stump, I told them not to worry, maybe he was hungry enough to bite another bait!!! Lol well about ten minutes later we hooked up a fish and it ran right back to the same stump. Hung up a bit then came loose!!! Got it to the boat and netted!! Guess what!! It was a 54# fish with my other rig in its mouth too!!! The second very lucky landing was a fish a young lady hung. Started out as an eater and about half way to the boat grew some shoulders!!! Took her around both sides of the boat a couple of times then wrapped around the portable tree before I could get it out!! With only about three feet of mainline out pulled up the tree and it was wrapped around the pipe about two inches from the end!! Luckily it didn't pull off or hit a burr on the pipe!!! Got it landed and weighed out at 65#!!! Everybody was sweating a little after that one!!! Lol Great weekend on the water!! Book your spring trips now slots are filling fast!!! Here's a few pics!!
