I have had my eye on the big rig for a while but I started to look at the slayer propel today and just can't decide. Should I get the big rig and some rigging or just get propel and start rigging it slowly. Man this has gotten pretty hard. I figured I would demo both of them then see which I like better or can't live without.

So what do ya'll think pedals or rigging?

Thanks
Drew

You should demo any pedal kayak before you spend the money they command. I've only been in a couple, but I can tell you I wouldn't own a Hobie Outback or Adventure. I'm 6'5", and the seating position and lack of sufficient inseam adjustment made them unbearable for me. The Slayer has an elevated seat, which would definitely make a difference for me, but if I can't make any adjustments to how far away the pedals are from the seat, I doubt if that would work for me either. Most of the guys I see in pedal yaks are under 6' tall. If that's you, you may find them to be a better fit. But I would pedal one around first, and for more than just 10 minutes.

Thanks guys I am 6'5 and I have had an outback many years ago. I like how the slayers set moves forward and back but I will need go demo first. At my size things can start to feel a little cramped.

Artie, the Slayer Propel seat is adjustable. It slides back and forth to adjust for leg room.
