Anyone ever changed an ignition coil in one of these? I looked on line and not finding much help there. I wouldnt expect it to be hard to do and can probably figure it out just from doing it. Just checking to see if theres any really good advice before I do it. Oh its a 2011 F-150.

This would be a better place to ask your question as there are several Ford techs on this site. I've got to ask why do you think the coils need replacing? http://www.f150online.com/forums/

I do not know that I have a bad coil, but I have had one replaced already at the ford house and now it has a slight miss to it again. Fuel mileage has fell off and it feels like a slight loss of power.

On the frist year of the ecoboost it was determined that the angle on the aftercooler wasn't big enough causing condensation to build up and cause problems...especially in humid climates.

No they did not do that. When I had it in there some time back they said mine was fine???? Who knows if thats right or not. Is there a way to tell if it is building condesate?

I have not heard of coil problems. Generally, two things cause a miss. Mine had a slight miss at idle using 87 octane. Went away with premium. And more common is the wrong plug gap.
How many miles is on it?

I be it is the condensation getting sucked into the intake. These weather swings will cause it.

It had to do with the production date of the truck. I'm pretty sure they didn't fix the issue at the factory until 2012.

I don't think they fixed it. I wouldn't want an ecoboost if I lived in a high humidity climate, which isn't really an issue in 95% of Texas.

It could affect anybody during periods of rain, from what I understand. But it takes time to accumulate. Some people drill a drain hole in their CAC. Seems to work.
Fortunately, I've had no issues other than extreme wear on my rear ties.

Why household? Because it's broken down and sitting in front of your house.
