I was wanting to take the wife and all 3 kids tent camping during spring break the week of March 10-14, but I'm thinking there is a good chance it's going to be too cold at night and maybe during the day. I would like to find somewhere with heated and cooled cabins on or very near the water. Somewhere with a park setting would be nice so the kids can ride their bikes during the day. I will do some fishing and hopefully take my 11 year old but I figure keeping the group entertained will outweigh a full day of fishing. I'm open to anywhere within 6 hours of Marshall (near Caddo lake)

+1

Lots of great camp sites, playground for the kids, and best looking lighted fishing docks I've seen. Pics below from December this year...tried to get the locations #s of sites I liked best for when I go back.

bridge to island with picnic tables scattered around shore line.

waterfront rv sites

In all truthfulness, I haven't been to a single Texas State Park than I haven't been impressed with. We are fortunate. clap
