If you have never been. Really deep, really clear. There is some really nice shallow flats, lots of wood. There are 3 ponds that all connect, all are a little different. Looks fishy all the way around. The water was 56-58. I fished from 8-6. Managed to land 8. Mostly dinks, biggest went 2 lbs. I threw a shaky head w/live magic shad, black blue flk. Caught 4 like that. I also caught em on a "float n fly" used a brown and orange hair jig, weighted bobber, 8 ft, in 15 ft water. I've used this rig to catch smallies in Tennessee, worked great! I threw a football jig, slow rolled a spinner bait, and cruised the shallow wood with a brush hog with no luck. The shaky head and float n fly in 10- 20 ft water was where I got all my bites. Really nice place, 15 min from medical city here in Houston. This week I'm heading to fayette county lake, ill be sure to report. Tight lines!!!
