question to the forum ......
who would drive 4 hours to drop a jig for 2 hours ?
WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE ....?
never fear its mister PNSP and his buddy Ketchn
meeting up with mister newly named ...."SANDBAGGER" ....
I personally think just the sunset alone was worth it ....
KABOOM

seems the bite was so so on the spot we visited ....
but our bud told us the alternative location we discussed had 7 plus him already on it
and droppin the hammer on em they was .........
well the bite started pretty slow at first for our location ....
and my first fish was a lil baby crappie ....
pretty long ride for a baby crappie I am thinkin .........

now mind ya there were fish biting ....
my bud was putting a flat out hurtin on the drum
seems we can ketch things pretty good that we don't wanna ketch at times .....
now bud number 2 is hanging with us ....
sez he hung lots a gizzard shad on the other location
and he manages a right pretty bream at our location ...
but he wouldn't let me photo it ....
something about WHY a bream ....? ....
I said for the bluegill section ....
he looks at me like I am crazy and tosses it

well we stayed after em ...the clock was tickin ....
the sun was going to fade pretty quickly
we got there at 4 ....so its a hurry and ketchem b4 dark thing
after a bit ....I managed a actually semi mature crappie
KABOOM .....

as the sun faded I needed to put on my third upper layer
the wind from the NNE was feeling a bit chilly
as the sun drops lower we change to darker colors
fish are biting a little here and there ....
not exactly a slam fest but we are ketchn fish ....
probably tossed 3 or 4 to one keeper back on the crappie
the good news is all the drum and bream and shad were released with them as well
KABOOM
NOTE: cormorant bite behind gill plate on the young almost legal crappie !!!!!!

we stayed after them till it got right dark .....
the bite picked up around 5 30 .....
the fish became pretty regular
and that door slammed shut at dark thirty

our take home was slim ....
seems mister "sandbagger " gave up 8 good fish at the first stop
and none of us wanted many to keep as well ....
PNSP told us lets just keep 6 for him .....
we ended up with 9 from the second location for his family to consume
fish were taken on a variety of colors from pink and white to red and black
water depths we fished ranged from 7 fow to 11 fow,,,,
all fish took dead sticked jigs right on the bottom in thick brush
feathers and plastics were both employed ....
and never forget PNSP and his Wally Marshall roadrunner
the fish went into PNSPeez ice chest after a quick in my truck bed photo
and down the road we went
KABOOM to my buds ....I enjoyed it as always

Only thing better than a sunset on the water is a sunset in a deer blind....

The sunset picture was worth the trip all it's own. However catching some fish makes it a whole lot better. "Kaboom" to the both of you! Good job.

but I will call ya ....we could do a trip over there if ya want ....
there is a good shallow bite there all over that lake right now from 7 fow to 16 fow

we enjoyed it ....we laugh a bunch ....we hoot it up a bit
we enjoy the debates over the de baits ...etc etc
thanks banker ...I surely did enjoy that sky ...
and the company of my 2 buds that went out yesterday as well ...
p.s. we did enjoy us a taco casa stop on the way back also ..........

I seem to git that pretty often
and totally for sure a pretty fine sky no doubt .....
