 Trout stockings around Lubbock

Is anyone still catching trout around Lubbock? I'm willing to drive as far as Amarillo, but I'm not sure where people are still catching them. Has anyone had any luck lately?

TPWD quit stocking in Lubbock 3-4 years ago,told me there wasnt enough angler interest to justify stocking..

They still stock Levelland, Lamesa, Midland/Odessa, and Amarillo. Levelland has already been stocked this year with no more scheduled. I fished Lobo lake in Levelland a few weeks ago and didn't catch anything. I had never been trout fishing before so that is most likely just me. Not sure if there are any fish left though. Lamesa is scheduled for another stocking soon though.

Never even tried the pond here in odessa, too many people and not enough lake. Not my kind of fishing. I haven't been over to NM in a few years but I did catch some trout over in Eunice, catfish too, tried Jal once with no.luck..

Lobo lake what a joke
i have never seen a bass caught out of there
only carp and few catfish
the other pond over by the college is catch and release only
but the folks that fish it cant read English much less even read

That Bass dont care if your in a Ranger boat or a metal bathtub with a trolling motor mounted to it
if he aint biting neither will do you any good

you can shoot a rock across it with a weak slingshot
then you have to clean your line and line guides to get all the green and slime off the rod and reel
