We are planning a trip to Caddo lake but not really sure when's the best time of year to go. We don't want to be too hot out there and would like to catch it when's fishing is best. Also do you guys know of any other activities for us to do? Thanks for the help.

Either spring or fall. You did not say if u had a boat, makes a lot of difference. Caddo State park is nice, especially in the spring. If u are going better make reservations online now.

You may want to check out the lake tours. You'll be near the town of uncertain so I think Johnson's ramp has a big steam boat that does tours. I've seen it
Several times while out fishing. I usually go in June. We stay at moon glow
Lodge or one of the others right beside it.

You can spend hours exploring the swamps if you have a boat
It canoe.

I heard of the vegetation taking over last summer, is that still an issue?
