What a beautiful day to be out on Lake Texoma!!! Launched around 11:30 am. Water at ramp is getting lower but still safe to launch at Highport if you stay to the restaurant side of the marina. Several big rocks in the marina closer to the courtesy dock.

Headed out and noticed 4 boats lined up right off the tip of Treasure Island. I aint proud so I motored over. I stayed there for about 45 minutes. Not sure why they were there. I did not see any fish being caught. Positioned the boat in 4 feet of water and was casting out into 30 feet on the drop off. Threw sassys, bucktails, horse heads and cohos. No bites.

Headed over to Ma Tuckers on the points and all the way to the back of the cove. Nada. Water temp in main lake 43F. Water up in back of Ma Tuckers was 45F. No bait and no fish.

Headed up to Hendersons Ferry. Marked fish hugging the bottom in 45 feet of water. Made two drifts dead sticking with white ice, bubble gum, baby bass, and smokin shad flukes. No bumps. No bites. No fish.

Headed down to Mill Creek and checked it out. Did not mark any fish at all.

By this time it is 1 p.m. and the wind outta the NW is picking up. Being the brave soul, I crossed Big Mineral Sound and went to the NW corner of 377 bridge. Marked several good fish in 35 to 40 feet of water. Wind was perfect for drift back under the bridge.
Put out four dead sticking rods and for grins threw out a ReAxtion Chromed coho head with queen glow tail. Drift sock gave me a good drift at about 0.4 mph. If the gusts came up, I brought the boat speed back down with the iPilot. Let the Sunshine Splasher on my aux TM run.

No hits. No bumps. No fish.

Headed back SE and headed over to GBC. Again marked some good fish in 40 feet of water. Again dead sticked. No hits. No bumps. No fish.

Wind is whipping by this time 3 to 4 foot rollers in Big Mineral Sound. HDS10 fish finder kept going off it was so rough.

Making headway back to Mill Creek. Outta the corner of my eye I see a black flash. Well, there went my aux TM with my Sunshine SPlasher on it. If you get hung up in 45 feet of water out from Mill Creek, that might be my TM on bottom. There went $150.
Came back to Highport and marked fish off Buzzard Point. Set up a couple of drifts. Dead sticked. Beat the rocks with bucktails, horseheads, sassys, and cohos. No bumps. No hits. No fish.

Came home a totally defeated fisherman. Texoma won. Ill get her next time.

But what a nice day to be fishin. I'm pouring lead today to get caught up on some lure orders. Hope to be out Sunday afternoon.

Nice report Axman. A great day since nothing was broken and you did not break anything. Chalk it the high pressure barometer thingy.

Do you know what dirty sox smells like?

Better discuss that with the "office staff", the dogs may have some input on that idea, being you lost one already and all!!!!

That was a good reading. You were defeated but you won with a great attitude. Good luck next time.

Nice Read .. sorry to hear about the TM falling into the lake.

Do you believe enough in the splasher, that you will spend the money to replace it ? I still trying to figure out if it is worth the money and hassle on the boat.

Keep the mount you have been using.Good for business.:) If you can produce 5-7 inch White Ice flukes,George would make a hell of a deal.:)

Guys I been searching and figure I can get an answer here. Is that splasher designed to turn where the cupped area strikes the water? As in counter clockwise in the picture above? I played with running mine both ways this weekend. But I cannot remember what George told me about the direction to run it.

I will call him if I have to but I know Ax or some of you other fellows will know.
Thanks
