Colorline, I know how to adjust this (as in making it change) but I'm not sure just where it needs to be set? I can go 100% and it's all green or go the other way and it's all yellow (I think). Is this just personal preference? One more thing if wide yellow is the hard return and narrow reddish-blue (according to manual) what the heck is green cause I have plenty of it and it ain't fish!
Ping speed for use in a kayak?
Which is or would be better: Under sonar options it list "white w/bottom track" and "white w/fish reveal" what should I use?
Just how big a fish did they use for the arches in the simulator anyway? Nice big pretty arches!! What I see in real life resemble little specs.
Thanks.

If you were to move your posts to the General Equipment forum you might get more detail responses.

I have a kayak and the regular Lowrance 4x with 83kHz/200kHz 2D sonar. The settings I like for fishing lakes are freshwater setting and keeping it at 200kHz or just freshwater setting and Fish ID on when I'm feeling lazy.
Take a look at some internet articles on sonar settings and slow speeds/trolling speeds (kayak speeds) The general advice is to slow down the chart speed/scroll and ping at slow speeds (<10knots) I'd try chart speed at 60-70% and sensitivity at 80% and fine tune from there.
