How do you guys respool your rigs by yourself? Something home made or you bought?

I buy the 1000 yd spools of Red Label if it makes a difference.

Thanks TFF!

Put a pencil thru the spool and hold the spool with your feet and then reel in line. This is how I have done it growing up.

I do the same thing 98% of the time! The other 2% is if I can get my fianc to hold it which is very minimal!

I've done that foot thang since birth but got plans (read: CHEAP) for a spooling station in the garage with line counters...

I'll either put a pencil through it and put it in a vice, or just lay it where it stands straight up and put the rod tip up against the spool. The 1000 yard spools will stay standing up until they are almost out of line.

I also use a Berkley spooling station and I use a drill with a T-bit. Puts line on a reel in a tenth of the time.

I ask one of my buddies or my dad to respool my reels for me. After losing a few fingers at work, there's just some things I have to have done for me!

Usually ask my gf for help but end up arguing because she doesn't seem to see that their is a fine line between holding it too tight and not tight enough lol
