WOW! Nice Fish. Super job.  Side Note: If that was on the San Antonio River that would have been the record Blue!  Again super fish.

That is indeed the S.A. RIVER,we average 3 to 4 big blues every winter in our spots that we hit.This was at the Helton paddling trail 15 min from my house off 775.I dont know how good it is(the fishing)in san antonio.But, where the river flows down towards my way(floresville,falls city,goliad)fish this big are caught every year.It seems we broke the record a long time ago.(unofficially)

Right now there is no Blue Record for the SA River! Also "Banker" has a certified scale and it is portable. Just FYI! Again Great fish.

Thanks Banker,might want to use that scale one day.Only thing is im at least 30 miles away from you.Ive caught a couple this yr at 10 & 12 pds.

Thanks Banker,might want to use that scale one day.Only thing is im at least 30 miles away from you.Ive caught a couple this yr at 10 & 12 pds. I am pretty sure we can work something out. I don't mind the drive at all as long as we can keep a trophy fish alive.

that there is a bluegill eatin machine ... along with crappie bass and possibly a small dog has anyone seen fido since we got down here to the river ????  KABOOM on the whale ketchn

Thanks Drrouter,Ketchn,& Gitter Done for the replies.I know my buddy Rob had fun getting it out......Its nice to catch a good sized blue every once in awhile.And for us thats usually in winter.

That bluecat was caught on chicken liver & was in about 5 to 6 ft of water.......
