Curious if anyone has tried throwing a 10XD on the KVD big rod, does it overload?

Since it is a composite rod, I would be careful on throwing the 10XD on it. Same as the BPS Crankin' Stick, it might not have enough backbone to help with the 2 oz. CB's. Hope this helps.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

It will work for a little while but it's going to break on you at some point if you use it for that.. Just FYI. It's a great cranking rod, but it's not made for it. The tip is made for slinging 1oz cranks to the rods max and if you double that weight you're putting too much of a load on that rod and the last 1/3 of the blank isn't made to handle the abuse for much time.

Add a big fish into that equation and you turn one rod into two short rods..

Just my 2 cents.. I hope it helps.

I forgot to add that I tried it.. A good friend tried it and we both agreed. I throw it on the 806 swimbait rod and keep the 6xd next to it on the KVD.
