Lake Ft.Phantom =12.7 feet low, there is a ramp in Johnson Park where the poles stick out of the water for launching and another that is very steep on the east side of the dam.

Lake Stamford = 14.60 feet low, there is nothing but mud and small amount of rocks to launch from on the north side of the main ramp at Stamford Marina (Very iffy on larger boats and 4 wheel drive is a good thought) (At the Anchor there is still a launch spot from the bank slightly south of the launch basin, but it is pretty rough with rocks). (Be very careful there are lots of small islands sticking out on this lake and a person can now see a row of old, old fence posts running across the lake from Vedas almost to the east side of the lake.)

Lake Millers Creek = 18.5 feet low. Ramp is out of the water, but some are launching at the ramp on the south side on the mud/rocks. (Pretty iffy launch in a large boat)

Lake Hubbard Creek = 22.2 feet low. Launch available at the dam.

Lake Ivie = 44.0 feet low. Launch available at Elm Creek Marina

Lake Brownwood = 9.7 feet low

Lake Leon = 2.4 feet low

Lake Oak Creek = 21.7 feet low

Lake Proctor = 7.8 feet low

Lake Possum Kingdom = 13.0 feet low

If there is no information on the launch then it is unknown to myself and others might chime in. By summer it is going to be almost impossible I am afraid on some of the lakes to launch larger boats.

Good Fishing,
Mud

Jim:

Everyone keeps telling me we are one day closer, but then in the same breath several of the older ones keep talking about the deserts of Egypt and how that used to be an oasis. We sure need some relief, but maybe something will change as it has been colder and somewhat wetter (ICE) this winter thus far. Haha, it will eventually change, sure is hard on the winter fishing.

The City extended the boat dock (Lake Stamford) adjacent to the ramp (North side) where you dock your boat when launching by 50 feet last week. GREAT, it is now only another 25 feet to the shallow waters edge??????? Don't know how much good that is going to do?

Ron

Lake Stamford crappie barge was destroyed by fire in the early a.m. on January 9, 2014. Plans are to remove it in the future.
