Does anyone know where I can purchase this pattern? or instructions on how to tie it. I can't find it anywhere.
Thanks in advance.
Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish, and he will sit in the boat and drink beer all day.

Here is a variation of the Guadalupana. It's smaller than the original pattern and seems to work on the small Stockers in our area. Link to Article.

I tie the Guadalupana in three sizes (4, 8 and 12) and can vouch for its success in a variety of rivers.
Unless you have extra long peacock herl, you'll need to tie in two bunches to effectively cover the shank of the size 4 hook. Tie in one bunch at the tail and wrap forward, tying off midshank, then tie in another bunch and wrap forward to about two hook eye widths behind the hook eye. For hackle, I use extra webby olive dyed grizzly.
I'll never forget the bright 18" brown that hit one on the swing early one summer morning on the Current River in Missouri.
And yes, it works great on the Guadalupe as well, especially in the first week or so after a stocking.

Made a few this evening in hopes of using them this weekend... it's the variant of the original pattern.

The Guadalupana variant - COAF Guadalupana Fishing Fly, worked well today on the Guadalupe at Huaco Springs. Caught a limit of Rainbow Trout!

Here's hoping that the shot to start your video represented the fish of several fishers, otherwise you were seriously over the five fish per day limit.

Was trying to catch fish at Kroger park, specifically, Bass using the Tube Popper Fly that worked well at Stoney Hollow Pond. Switched to a Damsel Fly Variant when it did not work, then switched back to the Tube Popper Fly. No luck there, so went with a Guadalupana... it worked. Do check out the video for tips and an idea on the retrieve we used when working the Guadalupana. Liked the fishing fly but did lose two Bass that threw the hook out after the initial hook set. Decided to tie Guadalupanas to replace the one lost this trip. Then, decided to give away two of them instead of the Near Deere Give Away for this month! Here is a quick tie demo of how we tie the Guadalupana. Uses minimal material, and is simple to tie. Works on trout, bass, and bluegill. Do give it a try, and do keep guessing on our Fishing Fly Give Away of two Guadalupana fishing flies. One tied with a Palmer Hackle. Other with a Dry Fly Hackle. Both on size 8 streamer hooks. See more and comment in our video posted on our YouTube Channel! Quick Tie Guadalupana
