Caught them ok on Conroe until today. Not a bite. My total contribution was removing the largest yellow bass I have ever saw from the 4 pounder that was choking on it. So much bait in the area its hard to trigger them to bite. Today they wanted no part of it.

Fished Martin Creek for two days. Caught 27 the first day and 38 the second. Pretty good fishing if you ask me. Martin is a power plant lake, but other lakes can still be good. Some people will tell you to cover water in the winter. That's can be a great pattern, but I like slowing down and fishing a T-Rig around a spot that I know will probably hold fish, that's just me. The nice thing about Texas is that if you wait about a month and a half from now and the pre spawn bite will turn on.

put a report the other day on conroe as well.Much diffrent than fishspanker though. I targeted the bass under the schools of shad. I did very well. But winter is like that.

Haven't been able to fish for several years due to back issues. Hope to get back to it this year. Gotta learn it all over again on what to use and how to use it.
