I went out on Lewisville today. I fished from about 11am until 2pm. I caught over 60 fish. I caught some of the nicest sandies, I thought at first they were small hybrids but they were big fat sandies. The lake level is up several feet and maybe that helped it. I think there is now a reproducible pattern. The fish were deep from 40 to 50 feet, with some schools going from 50 up to 25 feet. The fish did not want flukes today, they went after flitter baits, and jigging raps. I had three rods out and quickly found that to be unworkable by myself. I just used one rod and caught fish one after another. I left them biting. I'll post some pictures later. Lewisville is back!

Way to go John! That will keep you coming back. Did you get enough for that fish fry at work?

Good job! The way LL has been lately, I did not think the lake had that many fish left in it.

Staying home for Christmas is great! I get to go fishing. I will see my folks in a couple weeks when flights are better. I fly free but I have to go stand by.

nice report! it seems the bite has improved lately. i went out last week and put the hammer down. i should get off work here in a couple hours and plan to hit the lake with a buddy. if you see my boat come say hi.

Fishing every weekend: look for deep water. the fish should be in the 40-60' range this time of year. We caught them at 42' last week.
