Well,

The weather was nice, wind was as predicted and I had no problems running all over Texoma. I got to meet some fellow TFF's and as always, they were super great and did their best to help out.

THANKS BIG TIME TO LARRY (LenaHorse).. He let me tag along and then we split up and kept in touch all day. Unfortunately, we never got on the fish.

Let the excuses begin smile .. pressure to high , fish feed hard the last few days and took a break .. I don't know .. but it was still fun, nothing broke and I stayed dry most of the time smile

The first baby ..

These guys were no help .. just flew around all day and teased me ..

These two flew over when I was drifting, landed and started following me. They have been feed before, they squaked and even flew up and tried to land in the boat.

But it was still a great day on the water ..

And the last to return to the ramp, I was in no rush to get off the water..

Rob vs Texoma .. Texoma 1 , Rob 0 .. but this is a best out of three ..

-stay tuned

Awesome write up. Nice striper too. Those are almost as rare as the big ones! It really takes skill to catch those small ones.

Thanks and hope your out slaying them right now.

Hi Rod,
Thank you for writing up a good report. I think you need to drift slower than 1mph
To catch more fish and that how I learn from Matt (Tawakoni lake guide).
Good luck for you for the next fishing trip. I will take my boat out RH tomorrow for dead stick. Will see how it goes. Hope my boat starts well after a month idle.
Tom

Good to see you Rob. Also Larry, Worm and your other friend. It was slow for us we only got 20 or so and most were only 12 to 14 inches. We had two good box fish but let em go because I didn't want to clean just two fish. David, Terry, Ray and I had a good time on the water. It was a perfect day weather wise. Ray had a big one that came off the boat. We went all over the lake and never could get them to stay under us.. Good luck today cheers

Got battery chargers on now for another trip! We really had a sonar full of them 1 time off the south island and as fast they were gone, we ran all over the lake trying and marked fish all over but it was just a slow day and so good to be back on Texoma again, Darn I wish I lived there!
