See they are advertising a 10 bearing reel called the Viper for $39.95.
Wonder if this is in response to the success of Academy's Mettle reel which depending if it's on sale or not will either be $29.99 or $49.99.

Mettle is going to be 29.99. Don't know much about the viper but the mettle is a reliable reel.

BassPro also has a Viper 10 bearing spinning reel for 19.99. On a side note Academy has the Mettle in their black friday ad for 29.99. Dont know if its the new version or not. All Star rods for 29.99 and the H2o Xpress camo combo for 69.99

I bought the Viper bait cast Wednesday. For the price it seems pretty good quality. For the money BPS does well.

BassPro also has a Viper 10 bearing spinning reel for 19.99. I went and looked at this reel on Wednesday, and IMO, not worth it ... much better options out there even at the $20 price point.
This might be the weirdest, most pointless post ever.  I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering fishing
