Palomar with a square knot tied tight
against the palomar knot using the tag end.
Works great with braid also.
You cannot pull that square knot through just gets tighter.

I use the Trilene knot on 12# Seaguar invizx and had no problems. You got to wet the heck out of it and pull ends slow otherwise it will heat up to much and damage line.

Palmor Knot (I think I spelled it right) for bigger and stronger fish or fishing on brush and cover, clinch knot or fisherman's knot for smaller fish in light to no cover.

These are the only two that I use.

These are absolutely the best for all lines and very easy to tie.
Don't use 30# line in wooded area with an open hook. You'll never pull the knot out or break the line. You will have to cut it.

I've used the Uni-Knot forever and do not have problem but will say make it wet before tightening or it will slip.

Recently, a friend showed me a Pitzen knot and I used it most of this spring for jigs and never had a problem. It is fast to tie and very strong.

For braid though, I still go back to the uni knot

I use the Uni knot for all lines. For attaching braid to fluoro, I use a Uni to Uni, always works great.
