 Unloaded with half tank of fuel 77 mph, tackle and same fuel 76. I got to pick the colors (back in dec 12) and think they turned out great. It is high hours though. The smartcraft said 12.8 when I picked it up yesterday lol.

GPS. The new c boats aren't point and click. You have to drive them. These aren't your daddy's Ranger.

I agree with checking the speedo.I had a 09 21' skeeter with different heads , tuner and a tricked out prop by myself could only get 78.

Wow!!! Why would I lie about the speed? Would you guys like a gopro video? I thought GPS was the benchmark for a speedometer? Are they off? Need to be calibrated?

Some guys are still stuck in the old Ranger days. The Z520 platform has been easily breaking 70mph since 2008. Plenty hit the 75 range so I can believe one hitting those numbers.
It really kills some to be positive about much of anything. Ignore the boo birds and enjoy the new ride. Congrats

Sick 520c man, the new ones are definitely the fastest rangers yet. I think I saw one of the elites or FLW pro's showing his touching 80 with empty livewells and half a tank when they first came out.

i have been sitting in the passenger seat of a ranger that was loaded for fishing with all of 500 lbs of man meat as it hit 70. this was in 2010, so i doubt a new one would have trouble hitting these numbers. very nice boat, no reason to go any faster in a boat any way. why are all you guys so obsessed with going 2 mph faster than the next guy?

why are all you guys so obsessed with going 2 mph faster than the next guy? My manliness is directly correlated to how fast my toys are. Otherwise I wouldn't have spent probably 300k between 1998 and 2008 to go faster than the guy in the other lane. But I was very manly then  .

Nice boat! I could bump 73mph in my 521C before I put the power poles and Atlas jack plate on. Now I can't get much over 70mph. Still playing with it though...
