This is the ONE AND ONLY team bass fishing circuit for kids 16 and under! Fun-n-Sun Boats & Tackle started this 7 years ago as a way to move kids from the perch jerking/catfish dough bait style events, (which we love and truly believe is the foundation to get kids off the streets and on the creeks),to actually competing in a true, bass boat, competitive bass tournament. We usually flow about 50 teams a season through our program and end with an awesome 2 day Championship where we take a percent of the money from each tournament and then I throw in an extra $1,000 into the pot. ALL MONEY IS PAID OUT, PLUS SOME!
Teams consist of an adult and a child from 16 down, with the open invitation for mom, dad, sibling or grandparent to ride along as a guest (but whose fish do not count towards the paired team). All tournaments start at safe light and last cast is noon, as we always leave the kids wanting more!
Tournament team fee is $60 (includes big bass) with a one time $25 Championship fee.

So can my son and I fish as a team out of my boat or would I have to be a guest on someone elses boat? Tried to find rules on website but couldnt find them.

Yes you and your son are the team out of your boat. If someone wants to join you from your family (another kid, grandparent, wife, etc.) that's fine but their fish doesn't count towards your creel.

Guys, Jeff Gilbert and his staff and Fun & Sun are a first class organization that really caters to us anglers. If you have a child, grand child, or know a child that doesn't get the opportunity to enjoy the great sport of fishing this Fun-n-Sun Boats Adult/Youth tournament series will lead to many special memories for those kids as well as you. We have had a ton of calls about our trail from boat captains and high school kids from our sponsorship and success of the Texas High School Bass Assoc (THSBA) about age eligibility.

Any child 16 and under at the time of the event is eligible to fish with an adult as their partner. Example- if you are 16 at the first 2 tournaments but turn 17 right before the 3rd one, then you can fish the first 2 but not the rest of year. We are proud of the tradition we created of having kids from 5 up to 16 compete in a true bass tournament.
Also, Fun-n-Sun Tackle Dept. donates a rod & reel at each event to the biggest bass caught from a 10 year old down.
