I've lost the owners manual and have a problem. Got on the water this morning and my battery was dead. I jump started it with my trolling motor battery. Started fishing a brushpile and left the engine ideling and after awhile noticed a beeping coming from the engine. Got back home and took the battery out, suspecting it was bad. Had it checked and found it was completely discharged. Now have it on a charger. Could the beeping be due to the low voltage of the battery? I've lost the owners manual but, recall it tells what the beeping is warning me about. Checked oil and it is full. It is peeing fine so don't suspect any overheating issues. I can check my alternator after the battery recharges but, am suspecting it is bad. Can anyone confirm this or does the beeping indicate another problem? I should note I just bought the battery new on Oct 24th, did not charge it but, went fishing and assumed the alternator would charge the battery. Have fished several days since with out a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for everyones quick help!! Found the operators manual and the beep is a low voltage warning. Have the battery on charger and know how to test the alternator. So, believe I have it under control. This forum is fantastic, can't say enough about it! So many helpful people willing to help anyone they can. I really appreciate everyone of you.

Bob I think maybe you should just bring it over here and ill trade ya my Lund for yours. Mine doesn't beep a bit! Joking aside, I'm glad you figured it out. Maybe you've got a bad battery.

If the battery is too low motor will not charge it up. A 115 merc. does not have an alternator it has a stater which will top battery up. Went thru this twice . Had bad voltage regulator drawing battery down to where a charger would not even charge it up. Johnny
