I live and die by the spinning reel. Has anyone ever tried or use the WaveSpin reels, do they work as claimed, are they worth it? Thanks

I have one. I like it, BUT its not any more or less than a normal quality reel. Its just a gimmic sales ploy

If it significantly reduces line twist, then it's certainly something more than a normal quality reel. I've never used one, but Doug was a friend of mine and he really was a standup dude.

Doug didn't endorse a lot of stuff. . .and he might be the best bass fisherman to ever live. . .

My fishing partner lives to fish, he has one and states it is a gimmic. JMO- Line twist is caused by spinning lures. Also by reeling against drag. Let all your line out with nothing tied on and slow troll boat. Do this as needed and you will never have a problem.

PS.

Make sure your line is well secured to spool or you will lose it.
