got a 2 man boat with a 97 merc 15 hp (very low hrs) and can't find a price guide to get an idea of what it is worth.
going to sell the lil boat and need some idea of engine value.

Electric start short shaft would be about 1000-1200 IMO

no electric start, not sure of the shaft length since I never had to measure it.
I figure around 1k from what I have been able to find. it has not been run much at all since this was my dads boat for yrs, he maybe used it twice or three times a yr at most.

I think a grand is reasonable for it wish i would have known about it a couple weeks ago

I think a grand is reasonable for it wish i would have known about it a couple weeks ago got to work out title problem, the dad and I do not talk, he abandoned it with me over 6 months ago so now I got to do the abandoned vehicle thing. boat motor and trailer will be for sale as soon as all that is cleared up.   just put new carpet and did a lot of work on it last fall, it is in real good condition now. styrofoam pontoons, glass covered, will not sink.
