While i was walking up to do some bank fishing today , and elderly man noticed my big net and asked me if i could try to unfree aduck that was about 10 ft from the bank . I walked over to where it was and notic ed it was too far out and told him i was sorry i could not help him . After about 2 hours a w/r walker that i have known for several yrs came up and started chatting with me. I noticed he had shorts on and asked him if he wanted to save a ducks life . He said "sure" i walked him over to where the duck was and he proceeded to take off his sneakers . I handed him the net and he went in , after netting the duck he discovered that the duck was tangled in a throw net . when he pulled on it he found a lure stuck on the ducks wing , his thigh and the net . He cut the net off but the lure was still on there. I told him to leave it on there and it would rust out eventually but he asked for pliers andi went to the truck to get them . I know the Bassgrabbers event was there this past Saturday .The hooks are still shiny and if this is yours ,tell me where you lost it , pm me your addy and i will gladly drop it in the mail. it is more chartruese and brighter colored than the picture shows

I just bought that same crank today! My guess is it was Chris Perez's crank. Ill ask him if he lost it.

If there was an event last Saturday, it was small. I dropped the boat in on the west side and only saw two guys bank fishing in the morning.

Great Job Jesse . Man I wish I had monitored the BassGrabbers site I love that lake and would love to have seen how it played out . Can anyone tell me how it went ! I have caught some really nice fish out of there in the past and if I remember right a 9lb was caught out there a couple of years ago .

It went crappy for me I can tell you that. Lost my only good bite right at the bank on a crankbait. Biggest bass caught was a 19.25" 5lber by my buddy Chris. Other than that I think a few dinks were caught but not much else.
