Taking my 6 and 9 year old boys out on Sunday AM for a little while and wondering if anyone had caught any sandies near Gaines Bend or the Dam area. Don't need all the secrets, but if I could get my kids on a couple that would be great. They are tired of perch! Thanks in advance.

Stripers moved off Gaines Bend. Same for down at the dam at Governors cove. It's dead now. I only caught one last time I went. bet you have to go round the bend to South D & D to get them. Lots of sandies though.

Quite a few sandbass in Neely Slough. I hate fishing in there, as it's full of tree now that the lake is down. Be careful or you'll lose a lower unit.

The next cove up the lake from you has a dock with Green lights that come on at night. Lots of sandbass in there when they do that in the evening. I trolled the 25 - 35 foot water off Gaines bend and found sand bass all along Gaines bend fishing for Stripers.

Good luck.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.
