Thinking about fishing Lake Austin over the fall/winter months when I visit my brother in Austin.
Any recommendations for quality guides?
Thanks!

Clint Wright www.lakeaustinfishing.com903-918-9469 Clint guided on Fork for a while and had a very successful business. He moved to the Austin area and fell victim to his obsession once again!

Another vote for Charles Whited. Great fisherman and a really cool guy
I don't always catch bass, but when I do, I prefer Dos Bass

Brian is the guy you want for Lake Austin. I fished with him last week and caught over 50 bass, one of which was a double digit. Great fun!

kdietz, Howdy, any of the guides listed above will do a great job for you, they all know the lake very well and are just good people. If you are unable to book with any of them I would love the opportunity to take you and your brother out. I am licensed and fish Lake Austin quite a bit (an understatement) If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me. Thank you,

Thank you to all that referred Lake Austin Fishing. Talk about troopers!!!! Friday was the worst weather conditions of the season here..35-37 degrees, wind out of the north at 20-30 mph, and raining most of the day. With that being said we still brought 19 fish in the boat (not counting the 3-5 get offs, TED) up to 6 lbs. I think we would have caught twice that and possibly bigger if the wind would have eased a bit on a couple of spots. They still had a blast as you can tell from their smiles. Catching usually helps defrost the limbs on days like this. We caught every fish on V&M plastics, (Wild Thang 8.5, Trickster 6.5, Chopsticks). Had a lot of help from Dave Settles Custom Angle Rods and the McCoy Xtra Clear line as most of the bites were very fickle. Tightlines, Brian Parker Lake Austin Fishing lakeaustinfishing@yahoo.com
