Hi,

I've been wanted to take my boyfriend on a fishing trip for a while but not sure where to go, his birthday is coming up and I wanted to surprise him with a fishing trip to the coast in Nov, would anyone have any suggesting on where is the best place to go, I was thinking Galveston but not sure where in Galveston. any info would help.

your talking saltwater fishing? Does he have the gear, or do you have the gear for anything specific, like surf fishing or wade fishing?

Happy fishing!

Personally I would suggest Port Mansfield or South Padre. There's a place in Port Isabel (South Padre) that rents small bay boats and pontoon boats, along with basic tackle.

www.the-white-sands.com

Their website appears to be down at the moment, but here's their address & phone # 418 Texas 100 Port Isabel, TX 78578 (956)943-6161

The motel is average, but is a nice location in my opinion.

You can jump on a party boat which furnishes everything. Just pick your spot.

What do you fish for at CC? Some freshwater gear can be used in the salt if handled with care. There is a thread on the inshore saltwater forum titled new to the salt- it would be worth reading.

I don't have a suggestion but booking a bay guide in the area you want to go would be the best thing to do. They would provide everything and you would learn a lot.

I bet he will have a nice BD regardless.
