How's the transducer scupper with cover plate expectations.
Does shooting through the cover plate allow clear Down Imaging readings?
Or are you going to have to custom cut the plate so as the transducer is flush.
Being able to put that transducer out of the way gonna be nice thumb

Phil the transducer plate was introduced to more models on this years new releases but has been a feature on the PAs since the 2012 models came out. It works flawlessly for DI and 2d sonar but you still have to consider a different style for mounting SI. Currently I mount my SI transducer via an "anal plug" that mounts into one of my drain holes. It works fine back there but if you need to make adjustments to the angle that it is sitting at you have to get off the boat and make the adjustments from the water. I am considering a side rail mount version install but still seeing if it is a necessary mod. I do use the lowrance ready mount for my other transducer and the install was super easy and works flawlessly. The great things about it is that the transducer is submerged when you are on the water so you get correct temp reads and clear images. LMK if you have any other questions on it. Are you coming to the dark side? Lets go fishing soon my friend!

Well ya know I have mine mounted on the nose,
but the Big fish (4' blues) are hard to keep out
of it, when i'm trying to fight the fish and lift
transducer at same time.
So with these fish I've caught I'm finding out anything kept out the way around the edges of the kayak to get snagged on to me is huge.
Checking to see if someone custom-ed the PA scupper for SI.

There are some guys that have made their own mounts to use the lowrance ready mount for the HB transducers but my LSS HD is too big for that hole ;-)
Here are some of their mods

Yak that's the HB SI transducer? Wonder if they've had an issues with it getting damaged when they're on land with it.

Yeah, I would not feel comfortable if my transducer was staionary and located so close to the bottom. Then again the pontoon style hull may protect the transducer from being hit in this position. You can try to get more info from the guy on the Hobie Pro Angler forum. Lmk know if you need a link.

I haven't found that thread yet but I have found two other potential options.

This first one I think the transducer might be stick out some and be vulnerable.
Option 1

This one is similar to the one you posted and I think if you some how integrate springs into the mount you can set it up to where the transducer will be pushed up and secure when there's pressure on it.
Option 2
