Any recommendations on the types of rigs to use while at the jetties? Pictures would help

a safe solution is a popping cork, jetties are notorious for getting hung up on, if your fishing from a boat its not as bad but fishing from the actual jetty is not fun unless ou know what your doing, i like to fish off the bottom and this produces flounders, reds, and sheepehead butit a risk to fish close to the rocks, the closer you fish, the more you will produce, i use a carolina rig but its pretty common to get hung up 1/10 casts, jetties will have a calmer side and a rougher side ususally, the calmer side is better for light tackle and the rougher side cals for bigger rods to cast past the waves,i ususally fish real bait, no artificials in jetties, it cost too much to loose lures, but the one exception are top waters, if u o on a good day, youlle see mullet jumping from reds hitting them, on these days i pull out the mirro lure , red and silver, and work magic with them , you wont get hung up and its a blast, topwater jetty fishing is my favorite,

crabs are good for black drum but piers produce better black drums better than jetties

This is how we rig up 95% of the time when using bait, live or dead, on the jetties. We downsize cork, weight, leader poundage, and hook size if targeting Mango's, Sheepies, trout, etc. Otherwise we use a 5/0 or 6/0 Kahle and 1/2 oz weight and Piggies(Pinfish) for reds.

Trim excess bobber stop thread real close to the knot, keeps from catching while casting. Nail knot, btw.

You can slide the bobber stop thread as deep as you want the bait to drift. We've fished as deep as 45' and caught fish from the jetty rocks using this rig.

You can reel the cork up to the swivel and only have about a 1' of leader to work through the rocks. Kahle or (circle) hooks greatly reduce, (doesn't eliminate) the chance of snagging up on the rocks. Just have to be aware of where the bait and float are heading.

Adjust the depth to fish deeper or shallower depending on how far out you fish and if you're not catching fish at a specific depth. You can fish too deep drifting a bait at the jetties and be fishing under the fish.
It's called the "Famous TOO Slip Cork Rig" and we stole the whole idea from jetty fishin' salty dawgs a long, long time ago, and it still works better than anything else on the jetties. Just match the size of terminal gear to expected catch.

We'll use a lemon rig from time to time, usually if targeting Sheepies in the winter/early spring.

Otherwise we also throw piggies/croaker/shrimp freelined using only 25-30# leader and braid.

Couple hours fishing at an area on the jetties this summer. Released a bunch of smaller Mango's, trout, and Sheepy, and had the Skippies go bonkers on our bait. Only kept enough for a meal or two and make some cerviche.
