After a dry, hot summer it is time for the Nttc fishing season to begin.

The Lake Ray Hubbard tournament will be at Robertson park (south side of I30) on October 12th. Registration/Boat Check starts at 5:00am, fishing from 7:00am - 2:00pm. Must be in line for weigh-in by 3:00pm.

Fees are $60.00 per team for members and $80.00 per team for non-members. This includes big fish pot.

Cash only please.

Hope to see everyone there!

So is this the first tournament of the new season or the last tournament of this past season? I will go look at the web site right now but last time I looked it was a little confusing. I'm trying to figure out when the best time for a couple new guys to jump in would be.

EDIT: Okay so I see the Classic is Nov 9th and 10th on Ray Roberts. I guess we will see everyone at Lavon.

Amateur and Regular NTTC Tournaments Beginning with the 2011 2012 season NTTC will have an amateur division and a regular division. It is important to note that the amateur division is not open to non-members, you must be an NTTC member to fish as an amateur. To be considered an Amateur the following conditions must also be met:
1. The angler cannot have received prize money for any NTTC tournament; 2. The angler cannot have received an award for Rookie of the Year / Angler of the Year in a previous NTTC season; 3. The angler cannot be a fishing guide (as defined below); 4. The angler cannot have fished more than 10 tournaments with NTTC.
Note: Different rules may apply to the Amateur division and will be noted below in italics. Unless indicated in italics, Amateur tournaments will follow the same rules as regular tournaments for general purposes. Membership (Optional) Membership is sold as a family membership to all persons living in the same household. Membership cost will be $30.00 annually. All paid memberships include an NTTC gift and the remaining money will be used 100% to the benefit of the chapter. Membership is subject to approval by NTTC President, Vice President and Directors. Membership fees must accompany Membership Application. Membership is purchased with the understanding that all Tournament Rules must be obeyed.
Members receive a reduced entry fee $60 (There is no discount on entry for the Amateur division as all Amateur anglers must be members).
Special members only tournaments in the off season with 90 % payout
Any record (lake, state or world) caught and weighed in during an NTTC tournament by an NTTC member will receive a bonus. In the event that two anglers obtain a lake, state or world record in one tournament, the largest catch will receive payouts as indicated:  $100 and 1 year free membership for lake record*  $500 and 3 years free membership for state record  $1,000 and a lifetime membership for world record.
NTTC reserves the right to request a polygraph prior to payout for any record catch. Non-members are not eligible for the bonus.
*Channel cats excluded
Entry Fees All entry fees to tournaments must be paid prior to the start of the tournament. Cash only will be accepted at the tournament site, no checks will be accepted unless prior arrangements have been made with the President or Vice President.
Tournament Entry Fees: Non-member teams: $80.00 (includes $10 required big fish) Member teams: $60.00 (includes $10 required big fish) Amateur teams: $40.00 (big fish is optional and not included at this price)
The big fish jackpot payout will total 100% of entry collected at that tournament, note $10 per team will be included for big fish for regular tournaments, Amateur anglers will have the option to participate in big fish.
Payout For regular NTTC tournaments (not amateur series) we will pay out 80% of entry fees collected for that tournament. One (1) place will be paid for every five (5) entries entered at the tournament, no more than five (5) places will be paid cash at any tournament. For example, 15 teams enter a tournament, we will pay 3 cash prizes.
For Amateur NTTC tournaments we will pay out 70% of entry fees collected for that tournament. One (1) place will be paid for every five (5) entries entered at the tournament, no more than five (5) places will be paid cash at any tournament. For example, 15 teams enter a tournament, we will pay 3 cash prizes.
Any cash winner may need to provide additional information to receive cash payouts. NTTC reserves the right to request additional information for any cash payment without prior notice.
Alcoholic Beverages No alcoholic beverages may be in the possession of any team during tournament hours or at the weigh-in line.
Protest All protest brought to the Tournament Director must be in writing with-in (5) minutes of the conclusion of the weigh-in. The Tournament Directors rulings will be final. The Tournament Director may change from time-to-time and will be announced prior to each tournament at the morning meeting.
Guides A Guide is defined as a person who promotes him/herself for the purpose of monetary gain while taking clients fishing, whether from a vessel or from the shores of a lake, river or other body of water. A person who promotes him/herself as a Catfish Guide is prohibited from fishing any NTTC tournament on a body of water in which he/she has acted as a guide within the 5 days prior to a tournament on said body of water.
Weigh-In Procedures A member of each team must be in the weigh in line by the deadline, teams not in the line by that time will not be allowed to weigh their fish. The number of fish and species will be placed on the weigh-in form and they will continue to the scales where their fish will be weighed. The weight will placed on the form. No changes will be made after the form is signed. No alcoholic beverages may be in the possession of any team during tournament hours or at the weigh in. All shirts worn at the weigh-in must have sleeves and not contain any inappropriate logos.
Rules and Regulations NTTC tournament Officials, Officers, or Board of Directors shall reserve the right to bar or refuse tournament entry or association membership to any person or team. All State and Local Fishing laws and Boating Regulations for the state we are fishing in must be followed; you are responsible to know these rules prior to tournament. NTTC will not cover state and local fishing laws prior to the tournament, please research the lake prior to fishing. NO TROT LINES, JUG LINES, LIMB LINES, YO-YO's or DROP LINES. All fish must be caught on a rod and reel. Anyone caught with the above will be DISQUALIFIED and any and all prizes will be forfeited. All lines will be attached to a reel in such a manner as to bring it completely to the boat without the aid of any device or by hand. Rod limit; 15 (fifteen) rods (including reel) per team allowed in the boat while fishing unless otherwise restricted by law. You will be able to fish 12 (twelve) rods at a time. Hook Limits; only 2 (two) hooks per line will be allowed. All hooks must be attached to the main line of the reel being used. Any live bait, dead bait or artificial bait may be used. Fishing from the bank will be allowed. If fishing with a partner he/she must be within 25' of each other during tournament hours.
For Amateur tournaments, Rod limit; 10 (ten) rods per team allowed in the boat while fishing unless otherwise restricted by law. You will be able to fish 8 (eight) rods at a time. Only 3 (three) fish per team will be weighed-in. A 3 (three) pound penalty will be assessed from total weight on dead fish weighed in.
All boats must have a current registration and all state or local parking fees must be paid in order to participate in an NTTC tournament.
Once the tournament has STARTED it will end at the Scheduled time. If inclement weather occurs before the Start of the tournament, a vote will be taken by the members present as to fish or not. Safety is a MUST and will come first. No tournament will be canceled without a vote of the members. Each team must decide a captain for the team and mark the team captains name on the registration form at the first tournament fished. A substitute may be used for either partner at a tournament if a member is unable to attend. If the team decides to split up, the points will go with the captain. A team consists of no more than two persons. Members of a team must fish together from the same boat. Only 5 (five) fish per team will be weighed- in. A 3 (three) pound penalty will be assessed from total weight on dead fish weighed in.
Life jackets must be worn if the main motor is underway (big motor creating a wake or faster)
No fish will be allowed to be brought to the weigh-in on a stringer of any kind or dragged to the weigh-in. All fish must be brought to the weigh in line with a container. NTTC will have some available for use but suggest you have your own to allow yourself to weigh-in with plenty of time. NTTC is a catch and release tournament and the stress level of the fish must be a minimum. There will be a 10 (ten) pound penalty for violation. Only Blue, Channel and Flathead Catfish will be weighed-in. No fish may be tied off to a tree or any other object and left. Once a team places a fish either on a string or in a live well it must remain in their immediate procession unless it is being released. In the event of a tie, the team with the biggest fish will win. If a tie still exists the team with the most fish will be declared the winner.
Chumming is allowed on the day of the tournament only. Pre-Fishing: All pre fishing must be done by sunset the day prior to the tournament.
All tournaments are catch and release. To preserve our resources, all fish brought the scales will become the property of NTTC and will be released back into the body of water from which they came.
Tournament Hours The start time will be given prior to the tournament. No fishing will be allowed after 2:00pm the day of the tournament. You must be in the weigh-in line by 3:00pm, at which time the scales will then open. Registration will begin no later than one hour before the scheduled start time. You must have a boat inspection before the tournament begins by an NTTC representative.
Polygraph Test Polygraph tests may be performed at random. Any team failing a Polygraph Test will be disqualified
North Texas Trophy Cats and its tournament officials and sponsors are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or lost equipment.
By signing the entry form all contestants give North Texas Trophy Cats and all sponsors permission to take and use any and all photographs, still and motion. A team may be joined by another person only if that person is LEGALLY handicapped or under the age of 12. All other rules must be followed and a third person may not help catch or land a fish if the other 2 members of the team are already in the process of catching or landing a fish.
Rules are subject to change without notice.
Angler of the Year Beginning January 2012, points will be calculated for tournaments held in 2012 only. Points will be calculated using four factors for final calculation. The end result is simple, the angler (team) with the highest points at the end of the season will be declared Angler of the Year.
Points will be awarded for the following items: o Place o Number of Fish Weighed o Total Weight o Big Fish Winner of the Tournament 2.5 points
Place points are awarded in descending order beginning at 100, and stepping down one point for each place you are from first. First place awarded 100, second 99, third 98 and so on. In the event of a tie, we will defer to the team with the highest weight for their big fish. Any team that does not weigh-in fish, will be placed in last place and all no weight anglers will receive the same number of points for the last place finish.
Count points will be awarded in 5 point increments for each fish weighed, for a maximum of 25 points.
Weight points will be awarded in the following buckets and will be based on total weight: 0.01 to 25.00 lbs = 5 points 25.01 to 50.00 lbs = 10 points 50.01 to 70.00 lbs = 15 points 70.01 to 125.00 lbs = 20 points 125.01 to 175.00 lbs = 25 points 175.01 lbs and greater = 30 points
Angler of the year includes free membership for the year following your win. It includes a trophy and a fishing shirt that will be embroidered with the NTTC logo and the year along with Angler of the Year. If an angler wins twice, the new year will be embroidered on the old shirt. This shirt will not be available for purchase, you can only win it.
Rookie of the Year Points will be calculated in the same fashion used for Angler of the Year. For first year anglers, or anglers that fished no more than 3 tournaments in previous seasons, the angler with the highest point total will be named Rookie of the Year and receive free membership the following year
