im a avid tournament fisherman but was wanting to get into some kayak tournaments as well. i know they go by length but whats the stipulations in most tournaments? best 5 or what?

Yak tournaments are CPR (catch, photograph, release) only and the best 5 (length) wins.

So what if I caught 5 fish that were short but really fat and you caught 5 that were long and skinny? Would you still win if mine were obviously a better 5?

Maybe crazy but we have no way to keep fish alive all day in a yak so best way we have is cpr
