me and my dad caught about 20 bass over 4 pounds on kvd sexy dawgs and booyah pond magic buzz baits from about 7-8:30. we caught about 20 more between 8:30-10-30 on jigs and t-rigged yo mama craws and space monkeys. i picked up a few more on a z-man chatterbait and a kvd sexy frog in leopard color. the private lake was about 75 acres and we only covered about 15 acre section.

I got on a private bass lease about 10 years ago and have been on one ever since. The first one I got on was in West Texas - it was in an old Gravel Pit near Carbon Texas. It was a small 25 to 30 acre gravel pit. It had boulder piles all through out the place in shallow 2-8' and even a few in the deep end which was 16' deep. They guy who managed the property stocked the thing with florida bass and shad. They had a fish basket - "kind of like a cage" there, and if you caught anything under 14" you were to throw it into the fish basket, or you could take it and clean it. The place was a so awesome, that the fish would school like sandbass. You could wear your thumb out on top water catching 20 to 30 4 and 5 lb bass and an occasional 6. We caught a huge fish there one day that was about 14 lbs in early May. The place was amazing. It cost 1000 per year, and I found another lease up in Whitesboro that is a 80 acre lease, that only cost $400 per year and so I got on this one instead. The Whitesboro lease kind of reminds me of Ray Bob, full of timber. It is a fish factory, we have litterally caught 160 bass out of it one day. The average trip will normally produce 30 to 50 fish a trip. The largest bass I've ever caught out of this one is only 8.5 lbs. It has 2 miles of shorlilne, so we will go thru it early with top water, then come back around with jigs, worms, and carolina rigs and catch even more and more with each pass. There are humps out in the middle, brush piles and lots of grass. I'm freakin spoiled by this place. If I go to Ray Bob or Fork and catch 5 fish I'm disappointed.
