Alright folks, its time to setup this years Wound Warriors Day on the Water event! It will be held October 26, at Calaveras Lake. What we do is volunteers take the warriors and their family members out fishing all morning, then at noon we have a big BBQ (free) and give outs for the warriors. This event has grown each year and we'll need a lot of help again this year to pull it off. What we need:
Boaters to take the warriors and families out fishing
Volunteers to help at the BBQ site and the morning setup
Donations/Sponsors, we could not do this without donations and sponsors! Everything donated is used. So, please look in your hearts and see of you can lend us a hand in letting these Warriors and their families know how much we appreciate them! I think I read something similar being held on Canyon Lake in the past, so is this the same one only moved or an entirely separate event?

This is a separate event, these have all been held on Calaveras Lake.

But if any of you are on the fence about helping with event I just want to say that I was able to help out with a similar event on Ray Roberts a while back and I got back way more than I gave.
You won't be sorry you did.

We still need more help folks. We need boaters, and donations. This is a good way to thank those that have given so much!

Folks things are moving along, but we still need more assistance! A member on the SA fishing forum as donated two 50lbs pigs for the cookout, and Dave, TFF member Duckcreek Davy who won the TFF photo contest as donated one of his prizes, a guided trip on Falcon Lake with Guide Jay Greishaw! These are awesome donations and we really appreciate it!! But, we still need boaters to help take the warriors out fishing and donations to get the rest of the cookout supplies and gifts for the wounded warriors and their families. Please help us get the word out.
