Recently, my boat just can't shoot out of the hole like it once could. Perhaps, because it is very old. I texted Flipp in the early AM to see if i could have the privilege to fish with him while it was still cool. Flippp fished out of my boat last week so he knew what he didn't like. Instead of fishing, He insisted that he wants to fine-tune the motor. Who am I to argue with the mechanic?
Anyway, Flipp spent quite a few hrs working on the carbs. Took them completely apart and reassembled them orderly.... And adjusting this and that and among other things... It seemed like a lot of hard work to me.
At close to 5:00pm, we made a test run... Well....a few adjustment to remain, but it is better than what it was for sure. My reverse gear is not slipping anymore...etc..

Beside the testing and adjusting, we wet some jigs here and there for a couple of hrs before the sun went down... Found some hugging the mud in 18fow. Kept 15 quality ones, one was truly a beast! Got back to the ramp and Flipp is still adjusting that humming motor... What a persistent gentleman and a perfectionist!

Oh yeah" I forgot to post about this....It is not wise to soak your hands in gas and oil and go fish right after it. Seems like no matter how much you wash your hands it's still there and the fish "Don't Like It"! FYI

that's so true .....last year my bud was playin with something on the motor or the tilt ....afterwards ,,,
he sat right beside 2 of us ketchn fish like krazy and couldn't get a bite ....
told me what the heck ? I kant even get a bite ?
I said I aint sure brother ,,,,something is up ....
after a bit he figured out what was up
