Does anybody else besides me have trouble with hook sets? I lost several fish today as I got them to the boat. I set the hook hard as I could, but didn't seem to dig in.

How are you putting the hook point in the worm?

one I was using was a mega strike, and not sure about the others. ran the hook through the work then just put the tip back in.

The ones I use has a little wire hook that sticks in the worm then you rig it weedless. Can't remember the brand. I buy them from wally world. I don't use shakey heads too often. I know there are some that suck.

I use screw locks and I just put the nose of the hook in the worm right before it's about to poke through the other side if that makes any sense at all haha.

I hate the straight back hooks on the shakey heads.

They do suck sometimes I loose a lot of chigger craws using them.

Does anyone make a shakey head with curved back hook, like the worm hooks everyone used to use?

Basspro has a brand like that or maybe cabelas?
