Slingbait, congrats on the purchase/tade - nice nice boats - diggin that cuda color. The jackson's are pretty well outfitted as they are.....looks like you have a ball mount for a front rod holder or FF already.

Bigredneck has one of the nicest rigged Cuda's I've seen.

FF, crate/pak, flag/light pole, leashes, anchor. Not much else needed IMO. Add water.

Looks good Robert, hope you enjoy it and can keep up with your girl now! I'd like to try out that mini. I need a creek boat!

When I had my Cuda, I looked at a lot of rigging videos and posts. The one that really interested me was a mod to the center hatch to cut it and add a piano hinge right behind the strap closest to you. I think there's a link on the Jackson site under the Cuda section. I liked it because I had my fish finder on the hatch and the hinge lets you get in there easily. I still like that spot for it.

Yep, I wanted something I could paddle easy out to the humps on Cooper etc. And I wanted a creek Kayak. I was looking around and ran across a guy in Houston wanting to trade the two for a Big Tuna. I also had a friend going that way. Here is the crazy part. He calls and says he found a crack in it. I figure he is wanting to back out of the deal. Nope! He takes to the dealer and they give him a brand new one and transfer the trolley anchor and lid. He calls and says is it ok if its a different color because they only have desert camo in stock . I say hell yes it is. I was so happy I threw in a couple of things to make it fair.

That's a good mod. I had seriously looked at Cuda's at one time - in fact, yours - lol and one thing I didn't like was how inconvenient it seemed to get into the storage when on the water. Esp if you are mounting or storing stuff on top. The 2 pc lid solves that as long as you can keep it watertight. Overall, it's a great boat - every one has it's minor "issues".

Took it out on Town lake this evening for a test paddle. I was impressed. It is a little tippy after having a Tuna but I got used to it pretty quick. Much faster and I like the lay out. I am gonna work on a bait tank Idea. I also liked how easy it was to load and unload by myself.
