Haven't seen my alligator buddies in a while, so going to load up and head that way either Tuesday or Wednesday. Friend of mine said he thought the ramps were closed. I think he was referring to Falcon SP ramp, but I thought I'd better ask.
Anyone verify ramps open or closed at Choke?
My last few trips there have been pretty slow fishing-wise.
That's ok though, as a slow day fishing is still a day fishing!
Plenty of room on the boat for one more if anyone wants to meet up down there. I usually put in about sun-up and fish until around 2 or 3 in the afternoon unless I'm finding some really good fish.
Let me know if the ramps are closed, and if anyone wants to meet up.

Thanks in advance,

All the ramps are open, just be careful . I would put in at south shore and just fish the main lake area.

Yep, if your not used to this level of drop (not many are), there is a few real shallow spots. The one between Huisache island & Calliham point is one of them. Post back your results, I might go next weekend.

We went Wed got there about 1:55 pm and started catching them right away. We wound up catching 7 bass and about 18 white bass and 1 confused catfish. All but one were caught on red eye shads/rattle traps. One fish came on a mid dept crank bait. Most of the fish were caught between 2 pm - 4:30 pm. We fished till about 7:45 pm. We didn't measure any of the bass but I figured we might have only had 2 - 3 keepers. Saw 4 gators.
