77 Ranch, located near Blooming Grove, TX has multiple membership positions open for the 2012 season, which runs March 1 through October 31.

77 Ranch is an 1850 acre cattle ranch, with several (7) ponds, now eight (8) with the addition of a new 10 acre pond, ranging in size from 2 to 11 acres. One pond is stocked with Crappie and the balance are for Bass fishing.

Catches of 25 - 40 bass for a morning or afternoon session are very common. I've had multiple 100 fish days! Most bass are in the 2 - 3 lb range right now, but efforts to manage the ponds will pay off with larger bass. Several 6 - 8 lb bass caught in 2011. Get in now to ensure your spot for years to come.

77 Ranch is extremely exclusive, with only 8 to 10 members allowed per season. I fished all of last season and did not see another member fishing. Talk about peaceful!

The membership is based on a flat rate fee of $850 and allows for multiple trips, guest fishing, camping for no additional costs.

For more information, please contact Gary Price @ 214.454.3841 or you can PM me for additional information. I can be reached at 214.578.7992 if you have questions from a member perspective.

Thanks,
RON

Your kinda far away, but I've a spot open in my fishing and hunting club near to Danbury (Brazoria County South of Houston).

I do have a few members from the Dallas area, as well as some from Australia and Saudi Arabia. Most are local and from Houston.

I've heard the 77 Ranch is very nice and a good deal for the money, and a lot closer to you.

Do you know if they have any Day fishing available? Also, are the numbers still good to call for the 2014 season?

Danbury Fish Farms is, The Lakes of Danbury (the fishing club) is not. I've been in Danbury since the early eighties, have my own operations nearby to DFF and LOD (both of which I was a manager of in another lifetime).

never have been a part of a fish club or hunting club. Does your site explain what the club does and what the cost is?

I let my site lapse as I went through a situation with it....and haven't really needed one to stay busy. Maybe something I'll work on this winter if things slow down a bit...

I got something that explains it all, and would send it to you in a PM. But this is the basics...

Near Danbury, Texas which is South of Houston maybe an hour or so. Not far from what was LOD, down stream on Austin Bayou.

I have four bass lakes ranging in size from 7 to 63 acres. Each very different from the others in habitat, fish population and how they fish.

One lake has catfish for catch and keep as well. Two lakes are freshly renovated, one of which is an "all female" large bass lake.

There are hundreds of acres of duck ponds, fields, and waterways to hunt ducks and anything else that's legal. Some mebmers hunt doves, others hunt gators. Some hunt pigs. Some fish the bayou as well.

The place is open 24-7, two guests are included in the deal, there is a lodge to stay overnight, and you can drive about the place on your ATV or in your truck if you want.

In other words we've no closed days, night fishing is OK, and you can drive around the place if you want. Most of which are things you won't get with a typical membership.

Membership is all inclusive of what we have to offer. Members are insured for both liability and incident while on the premisis.

memberships around me range from a low of about $850/yr to over $15,000/yr. Mine is not the cheapest nor the fanciest, but I believe offers the very best in value of what benefits are available for the cost which is $2400/yr.

Right now the club is full as it is a limited membership and I've a short waiting list.

I know Brett and in some respects we are competitors. Brett has a great thing going in south Houston. Moreover, Brett is one of the most knowledgeable lake managers I have ever met. I lean on Brett from time to time on lake management questions. Great guy and probably under selling what a great value his club offers.

Well....anybody tryin' to run a fishin' and huntin' club for money is at best a dreamer and at worst self delusional....

Then again it gives more than money. For every moment I spend working or just talking with my members at the club, I can spend a hundred moments in Houston or The Woodlands dealing with crazy traffic, nutcase city folks, urban aquatics and office parks without tearing my precious remaining hair out.

There's money and insanity in the urban world, little of either in the country. The club's reason for existence is to provide balance in the life of everybody associated with it, no matter their association.

As to where on that line between dreaming and delusions people like Steve and I lie, I cannot say, but it could be evident from another viewpoint.

Thank you for the info. Don't believe my wife would let me spend 2.4k a year for that. But from the sound of it, it's probably worth every penny. The duck hunting sounds really good something I only get to do 2 or 3 times a year. Can't wait for sept.1 to get here. Love that dove hunting. But sounds like you got a good thing going and love what you do.
