It's seems to come and go. Well get along activity for a while, then some massive drama will happen, and people leave for a while.

ditto on the high heat. I can not wait until the winter, i want to carp fish sooooooo bad. summer usually time to take kids fishing for other readily available species.


Trying to catch anything that swims.

its gar season, carp is more of fair weather sport.

You can catch them for sure but there is no comfort in it which is what draws a large number of carpers.

During the summer months, I go nocturnal, and the fish seem to agree. I've been doing well with carp and occasional buffalo on Travis, mostly middle of the night or right before dawn.

Perhaps they will bite in mid-day too, but I'll be damned if I'm going to sit out there all day catching sunstroke to find out.
