This just in.... see there crappie ketchn kan b fun .... went out and put some bonehead tangerine orange 12 lb braid on an empty Tecate bottled beer .... I never could git used to them "long" canned beers .... and I needed it "empty" to have the proper balance .... I also need a shorter faster action on my ketchn "rod an reel" as yawl know ...LOL then of course needed to add a "lime" colored slab bandit to complete my ensemble .... and if yawl want I will go ketch a crappie with it this afternoon ....of course ... only if my modified version don't git me disqualified to funny ....ROFLMBO .... an here I thunk yawl didn't have no sense a humor .... They were not hitting the bottle jig so they went to plan "B" Final report do in from Ketchn very soon...

Ketchn kept tha fish. As far as I know the pomoxis annularis were non expandere. So were the pomoxis nigromaculatus.
He out ketched me today folks. How many posts for him to tell the story? My guess is 25, which is more than the number of crappie we put on ice!

Amon Carter old and new ....per stuarts suggestion .... zoom zoom zoom .....hahaha man was it nice today .... by golly it was almost chilly out there 2 to 4 mph made it that much more fun .... first stop ..... we hit a few brush piles on the "old" side of the lake bite was on rite when rolled up at 6:45 am .... 17 fow ....fish at 12 .... lots an lots a baby shad on the surface lots black crappie and white ... right at ten ... toss backs .... but ya gots ta love a steady bite KABOOM ....LOL

well as always we managed a few live well fish there .... the bite seemed to be a 1.25 black shad and 1.25 blue bayou on a 1/32 oz ball bead sickle hook jig ..... tipped with a dare I say it ...KABOOM lil baby shad about an inch long ... ketchn was dippin the net a bit today yawl .... tip your jig with one a these lil jewels and I promise you will git bit !!! fish picture time maybe ?

I have to go clean fish now .... I will get yawl a total count .... quite a nice mix a black crappie ,white crappie, sand bass , bluegill and one big ole black bass ..... we keep fish from out a the metromess area frequently ... these be going in MY super cold storage .... mmmm I love big ole bream .....yum ... to be continued ...
