First of all, I would like to thank everyone of the teams that entered this years event. It is the 5th year that I have organized this tournament and it seems to get bigger every year. I truly enjoy putting it together every year but, after it is over, I am ready for a break. This tournament was created for the fisherman to have a brutal weekend of fishing against a strong field of teams with very nasty conditions. I as well as all the teams will attest to the conditions we had to fish in. In the end it was a huge success paying out almost 18 grand. I want to thank Scott Gordan for directing this event for me. Scott makes it a fun atmosphere and is a heck of a good friend of mine. Also, I want to thank Monte Coon and Moritz for paying out a $500 check to the overall big bass winner. Monte and his staff truly do alot for this community, i think more than alot of people realize. Also want to thank johnsons fiberglass for the gift cards. These guys have done this for 3 years in a row and it is very much appreciated.
As far as the tournament went, Hot is the only way to describe it. The fishing was tough for the most part. It was an absolute grind. Darryl and Vince ended day 1 with about a four or five pound lead but, there was some teams that were within striking distance. In the end, they held on to take the crown. Great job Darryl Roach and Vince Repola on the win. Also we had a team that finished pretty low in the results but, cashed a $3500 check for winning the calcutta. It just proves that you dont have to win.......to win in this tournament. Again, thanks to all the fishermen for fishing with us this year and we will see you this time next year.

A BIG THANKS to Donnie and Scott!!!!! Once again y'all putt on a Hellava Show! This is one hard event to win! The caliber of fisherman that fish this tournament can win like we did on any given day. That's what makes this tournament special! The competition and fishing against the best in the Cowtown. I have to give a lot of credit to my partner on this one. He carried us a biggest part of the way when I slipped off the boat and landed on my tail bone. I was a good net man after that! I can't wait till next year! I'm thinking you could open the field up to 50 teams. Up the entry to 400.00 and top ten teams after day 2 move on to day 3 on a mystery lake.
