I never really had time to post this but i do now so I will. So, about a month ago Karson Rivers came to fork with me and we were fishing off the bank in the middle of the night, and out of random he says look at that dog! And I look and there was a black dog about 75 yards from us that was really hyper acting. It actually started heading our way and so i told Karson we need to crawl up on the dock and have a way to kinda defend ourselves. We had about 2 rods each in our hands plus a tackle box. Where we were at was on a point and so there was no way around the dog if he started chasing us. The dog kept coming closer and closer and he was about 15 yards from us on a retaining wall that connects to the dock. I tried to calm the dog down but he kept barking and growling even louder. I was afraid he would jump down off the wall and get us so we threw our rods up on the dock and started climbing on top. When we did the dog actually ran down the dock towards us and so I grabbed my stuff and jumped back down, and when Karson jumped he had a spook wrap around his leg and the back treble hooked his line so when he pulled, it tightened. The dog was almost in our face now and Karson was SCREAMING at me, "I Freaken Hooked Myselfff"! I had no light besides my phone and i had my ka bar in one hand and my phone in the other so i couldnt "unhook" the spook from his leg. I managed to get it and when i looked up the dog was gone. My dad showed up and picked us up and we made it out fine. My dad now wants me to carry a little .25 in my pocket for snakes and dogs. I dont know if the thing had rabies or what but i love animals and it would take alot for me to kill a dog but i would if i had too. Im just glad we made it out without getting bit! I know i sound like a wimp but you would've had to been there to experience it. It was pretty wild that night. Now i watch my back at night by myself out there. I know this is a long useless post but i figured it would give you some good entertainment to start your day

25 is going to be worsevthen usless against a rabid dog or a real hyped up attack by any dog that weighs more then 15# had to shoot a saint bernard that was attacking my sons dog once the whole mag of 380 hydra shocks went into his chest at about 10ft stopped the attack but

Then I'll carry my S&W .357 Combat Special with 6 nice hollow hollow points. That should knock them down.

something like bear spray? more people are hurt from ricochets shooting at snakes than actually getting bit by a venomous snake.

It sucks to be scared. I wouldn't carry a gun if I was you until I conquered Zara spooks in a panic. It tends to be harder to get lead out of your leg.

Hollow points work great on animals....stop watching gangsta movies and educate yourself before you arm yourself. It's safer for everyone
