I installed new cables in my trolling motor after they broke but the new ones don't seem to be as tight. The foot pedal seems to be a lot looser than it was before. It is hard to keep the boat under control in a rough water situation. How would I go about fixing this. Any info is appreciated thank you!

Im assuming its on a Motor Guide? if so there are two adjustment nuts where the cables come in to the foot control. tighten them down.
