Welp cant hold it in any more. Plain and simple as this, SALMON is a awesome catfish bait. Im not talking about the expensive giant fillets you see. Its the salmon they sell in the frozen seafood department in or HEB. They sell them whole without the head and until i tried it last year I never knew how oily and smelly they are. Of course channels love it but the blues and big blues LOVE it. You fillet both sides and get about 25 pieces of bait for 6-7 bucks. Its worth it. I LOVE my shad and tilapia as cut bait but this SALMON outfishes it. Just try it on a day when you not getting bites. Its insane in the late fall and winter. Just try it and post about it when you do.

I am sure it is legal, but is anything out of the store gonna beat fresh cut shad, buffalo, or carp?

I know I know sounds unbelieveable doesnt it. I only tried it becasue buying spanish mackeral was getting expensive so i thought well let me try this. Also you wouldnt want to eat this salmon. It's a different kind that not tasty. It works better than cut bait. Just try it when you're not getting a bite on your favorite bait one day.

...I only tried it becasue buying spanish mackeral was getting expensive so i thought well let me try this... I believe these are considered game fish and can not legally be used as bait in Texas.
