I have a 4cylider 07 ford ranger the towing capacilty is 2600. I am thinking aboat a 14 foot aluminum or carolina skiff. Would the ranger pull those out of the water and down the road.

My 1976 ranger with a 85hp weighs roughly 2500 with trailer just to give you an idea of boats weight.

Definitely I pulled a 16ft aluminum bass tracker fully rigged with a 4cyl ranger no problem a few years ago.

I have an 08 Ranger with 4 cyl., I pull an 83 18' Ranger bass Boat with Merc. 150, but I only pull it to the gas station (2 miles) & in & out at the ramp (1 block) it struggles some coming out but it does it. You will have no problem.

If will be pulling rig through much on highways are metro mess areas I would be more concerned of the wieght pushing the truck around and stopping distance. Good luck on getting a boat.

A wise boat dealer once gave this advice to me. "any truck can PULL a boat, STOPPING it is much more important".

I pulled my CC with a S10 Chevy for a while....a SHORT WHILE!

My FIL towed his 18' Tracker Pontoon with a 4 banger Ranger. Pontoon is a little different animal because of wind resistance. That thing was like pulling a small TT. In this case it was as much the pulling as the stopping.

Yeah I see questions about pulling capacity. Most trucks will pull a heavier boat than you think, but they won't stop it as fast as you hope.
