headed down to SPI first week of august. How are the reds going and reports of good catches there on them. I am sure we will geting into the speckled trout in the bay but I am curious about the reds.

They are pretty thick in south bay right now. Drift over table top you will pick up a few for sure.

I'm making a last minute family vacation trip to SPI tomorrow (Thurs) to next Wed. Would love any suggestions on where and what to try. I have a 13 year old daughter that would enjoy a couple of hours of catching anything that pulls. My 16 year old would enjoy something a bit more serious.
This will be our first trip down there.
Thanks

Thanks You can always fish the piers on both sides of the causeway. Call a guide, like the one that posted in this thread, to get into fish. The bay, while shallow is a huge body of water. Let a guide take care of you. Easier than rigging everything up for yourself and for kids.

Thanks If you are looking for a guide I am free Monday- Wednesday. The weather should be really nice this whole next week.
